ilm: Of all the tracks on the album, which one did you have the most fun laying down?

Natalie: Marsha and I were raised in London, and were like cuttin music in L.A, Miami and Philly .. They've all been excellent man, every single moment.

ilm: Ok, live stuff. You have just come off tour with The Roots, Queen Latifah, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott...

Natalie: We never really come off tour, we are on tour now! We did a show yesterday and we are about to do another show tommorow, then three in New York ...

ilm: I read that you guys have performed 160 live shows each year since the release of your debut album Floetic, and you will be returning to the UK for a 5 date residency at the Jazz Café from 14th-18th December. What do you look forward to the most about playing live?

Natalie: It's just the fact that it is live, its the moment - you know. Its like no matter how much you train, no matter how much your coach coaches you, at the end of the day it comes down to the play on the court and how you might feel at that particular moment, and that's what it is. It's live, it's not business, it's not opinion, it's not how to break markets and how to make numbers and all that type of talk, it's art and people enjoying it and the people who are there are the people who want to be there, although there may be a couple of critics there who don't know usually what to do with us because it's hard to criticise when all we are doing is making love songs.
