Natalie: What do you do Marsh when you work with these gangster rappers?
Marsha: With The Game really it was an invitation by Dr Dre and Scott Stortch on the production end, so it was really a musical thing and I listened to what The Game was saying, and I worked it from there, a bit like Styles P 'I'm Black', I am, so I worked my angle that way.
Michael Jackson wanted to let people know he had butterflies for someone. So did I, so I just created a song that I'd like to hear. It was already written, it wasnt written for anyone in particular, it just worked. I just like music, I dunno, people were like 'Micheal Jackson! that's a perfect song for him!' but I wrote it in '97 and I wasn't thinking of singers like him when I wrote it, do you know what I mean? You kinda make music that you care about, everything else then kinda falls into place. It's good to plan the business, but do the art, live the art.
