ILM: You evil devil woman!
James: Yeah, exactly! Haha! So that's what the song is about. We try and get a lot of electronics into our songs, as well as bits of rock and punk. A lot of things really! I think it's really good the way it's turned out. We recorded it with a guy called Andy Green, who also did the album with us. It was just a period of getting drunk for three months basically.
ILM: Is that how long it took to make the album?
James: Well, we did it in stages actually. Overall it was probably a bit longer.
ILM: Made Up Stories is your debut album. What did you learn during the recording process about putting together an album?
James: We have been recording for the last few years but that has just been demos and things. To do it to this standard with a producer like Andy Green who has done so many big bands like Keane, The Feeling and Scouting For Girls was great. We all learnt a lot from him. He was really brilliant with me personally. We had a great time just being there. It was the summer time when we recorded it and the studios were right near the coast. It was really picturesque. It was really really nice!
