ILM: Can you describe the vibe of your new album?
Grandmaster Flash: The vibe is exciting. It takes me back to my childhood and being in a room with toys, as I was with my Fathers stereo back in the day. The vibe of this album, to put it simply, is an international vibe. What I wanted with this album was to incorporate influences from some of the places that I have been. I have been blessed to have been to almost every country in the world, almost. We have songs with influences and artists from Africa to Sweden and we have paired them up with some more American influences. I have a song by Busta Rhymes which is a straight up party track, I have a song by Q-Tip which is kinda like a love song, I have a song called Those Chicks which is an up-tempo, pop-hop type of song.
