Hard-Fi Chat To I Like Music

Richard: That's a tricky one, because, if you'd asked me that a year ago, the answer would be different. Now we're doing the band thing and it's going well and we're made up, but now what I'd love to do is hang out with my mates because I hardly get to see them. So maybe hanging out with my mates somewhere like Antigua. Having said that, it's warm here today in Bournemouth. I went to the beach earlier and it was beautiful.

ILM: Of all the Stars of CCTV tracks, which one did you have the most fun recording?

Richard: They were all pretty fun to be honest. Some were more difficult than others. Tied Up Too Tight was tough. They were all good though. At the time there was no pressure on us, so we were just doing it because we love doing it. Stars of CCTV, the track itself was the demo, and we kind of chucked that down to see how it would work out. We didn't bother trying to re-record it because it sounded great, it had this kind of fragility about it that we might not be able to capture again, so we just remixed it which was really easy and took about five minutes. Unnecessary Trouble and Tied Up Too Tight were harder than others because we were looking for a certain thing and it took a while to get, but once we got there, that was it.
