Hard-Fi Chat To I Like Music

ILM: What's been your best live moment as a punter seeing other bands?

Richard: One that really sticks in my mind… I opted to go and see Billy Bragg at Reading Festival instead of Blur, who'd I'd seen before, and it was just him and an acoustic guitar in a tiny tent, but it was packed. It was one of those really rare spellbinding moments - just him and a guitar, telling jokes and stories, singing songs. It wasn't just a gig, it was an occasion, an experience.

ILM: You've just toured America, how was that?

Richard: It was great, everyone says they won't 'get it' and usually just play New York and LA but we went cross country playing in places like St Louis, Kansas, Denver. We were first on and no one had a clue who we were but we were selling out of CDs.
