ILM: How would you describe the album and it's vibe?

Mike: We originally had this concept that we wanted to start the first disc off completely ambient and just meander around and do some interesting things and then eventually build it up. So that over two hours it would go from ambient to raging house. Then, when we started putting everything together, it became quite obvious it was going to be two seperate discs. I think as I have gotten older I have found it harder to listen to say, three CDs of back to back club music. We haven't played so much breaks recently. To be honest I don't think there is as much good stuff around at the moment. There is a lot of very noisy, very electro breaks but that's not really us. We like finding another angle. The second disc is just records we really like, which tend to be a bit spacey and a bit trippier. But yeah, the first one was really just taking our love of film scores and different moods and textures and weaving them all together. They really are for different things. I suppose one is for sticking in the car and the other is for Sunday afternoons. I'm not entirely sure. I haven't really listened to it in that context yet. We are trying to get away from it so that we can come back and enjoy it!
