ILM: Loads of people are using the internet these days and getting their music out there before even getting a record deal. How has the Internet affected you and your music?
Jared: We wouldn't be where we are today without the internet. There's no doubt in my mind things would have started to work eventually, but the internet just helped speed up the process, almost to a point that we couldn't handle it. This band formed from Patrick and I posting some songs on myspace. And labels started calling, before any shows were played, before a band was even formed. I don't think we have been rushed though. We really took our time in developing this band. Some labels even felt we missed the boat after a while, even I almost thought we missed the boat. But it was time well spent. It took us well over a year from when we signed our deal, before we were really ready to release the album and take this show on the road. Now the ball's starting to roll in the way that WE want it to roll, and not by some other label's vision.
