And when we thought the record was done they were like, 'now bring it back we've got to do some more work' and I'm like, 'how?' and they're like, 'It needs another layer, it needs to knock harder, it needs to change here, it feels like it's on one plane right now'. And, as soon as they put the other bit on it, I was like, 'ohhhh' - I got it. I learned so much. I'm blessed. I can't even tell you how filled up with knowledge and happy with it I feel right now.
ILM: So it was a learning curve, but it must've been loads of fun too recording this new album. Which track have you had the most fun laying down in the studio?
ESTELLE: Just A Touch was the most fun. Because I say 'I ain't carrying your embryo' and it took me half an hour to put that line down, because embryo is such a funny word. When you start doing lyrics and stuff, you start listening to the way things sound and 'embryo' to me is hilarious. Embryo is funny, pantyhose is funny. There are some words and you break up the words and say them, it sounds stupid don't it? Same as the word 'balls' it just sounds funny. So we had lots of time laughing until I was like, 'everybody get out of the room, I've got to do this properly.' It was hilarious.
