Jacob Golden Chats To I Like Music
ILM: You've supported Sarabeth Tucek promoting the release of On A Saturday. You've played all over the UK, Cardiff, Bath, Wolverhampton and Glasgow. Plus you're headlining your own show at London's Troubadoor on June 3rd. You've also done many tours of fans' living rooms and a number of more regular live shows. Any highlights?
Jacob: I've had a lot of memorable experiences. Some of my best shows have been in front of ten people in a living room. It is hard to pick, but I did do this one show. A fan contacted me from France…just…you know…"would you like to come and play for me and my friends? We are big fans. We would love to have you and host the show" and so it was a great adventure! We took the train over there and it was such a warm environment. They cooked us a seven course meal! All this amazing French food and wine and it was really sweet. Because my music isn't very aggressive, I think there is a certain type of person who resonates with it and they all seem to be really sweet, intelligent, very artistic people. Which is great!
