Jacob Golden Chats To I Like Music
ILM: Your second album Revenge Songs is out now. Which track did you have the most fun laying down?
Jacob: Um….Well the recording happened in phases. I worked on the album for a little over a year. I recorded quite a few different versions of the songs until I got to the point where I felt like I had really honed in on the sound that I wanted to create. I did a session where I recorded Out Come The Wolves and a song called Hold Your Hair Back and those two happened in the same night. I walked away from that knowing that they were the opener and the closer of the album. That they were the bookends. That really set a direction for me and gave me a better understanding of the direction I wanted to take the album.
ILM: You tend not to record stuff in studios and prefer to record at home or in underground car parks - why so?
