Rasmus, Alphabeat: ilikemusic because... It makes me happy and it makes me dance around and sometimes it makes me a bit emotional. It encompasses all the emotions from happiness to sadness and it’s fun to play too.
Another favourite is Portland, Oregon, and that whole Pacific North-West Region. I was there on my birthday in 2004 and I have always loved it. I had the best cup of coffee in my life in a place called "Stumptown Roasters" (I think) in Portland. It was so good I took a photo of it. People are really chilled there, and there are amazing second-hand music shops, and this huge Western-style outfitters which I have to resist every time I go there, or I'll just end up with ten pairs of cowboy boots and five hats.
ILM: What is in your CD player right now?
RICHARD: I don't know - I'm on a plane from London to Madrid, but I'm listening to "Plans" by Death Cab For Cutie on iTunes.
ILM: Please tell me your favourite tune that you put on to chill out and relax?
RICHARD: Anything by Sigur Ros, or the album "In A Safe Place" by the album leaf.
ILM: What ambitions do you still have left to fulfil?
RICHARD: We love classic albums that you keep for your whole life, and return to, and we'd love to feel we'd made one. We want to push ourselves as far as we can go. We're only starting out, and we feel we have a lot to give.
