kayla brooke: ilikemusic because... the lyrics say the words that you cant. And it helps me start out on a good foot everyday =)
Ellen, Los Campesinos: ilikemusic because... It’s the best form of escapism that you can have wherever you are. You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.
Anastasia: ilikemusic because... It makes your feelings tangible - makes them into sounds and words - and makes you realise that you are not alone. It's the collective mind of the human race.
Keysor Sose: ilikemusic because... it's the best you can feel legally ;-)
Carvadeya: ilikemusic because... It makes it easier for me to get away with doing things like wearing make-up and nail varnish!
Toby: ilikemusic because... it helps me get my groove on!
JLo-Sully: ilikemusic because... ITS LIKE MY LIFE I HAVE BEEN SINGING ALL MY LIFE AND IF IT WASNT FOR THE MUSIC OR MY MODELING IV JUST GOT THROGH I PROBABLY WOULN'T BE HERE SO THANX N-DUBZ U THE BEST EVERY X
Georgia: ilikemusic because... some songs make you wanna dance around till your dizzy, some make you cry your heart out, and some will be playing during an amazing moment and you'll remember it forever.
Patrick: ilikemusic because... Music came from the universe...always finding a way into societies from the beginning of time. I imagine it has always been out there waiting for us to show up. I'm so glad we made it!
RICHARD: Sometimes they are the same thing. We grew up together and have a weird brotherly relationship like no other band I've ever met. They say you shouldn't work with your friends! Tim and Tom are the two funniest people I know, and feel like my brothers, but we are all quite perfectionist and obsessive, so sometimes we wind each other up a bit, and we really know how to hurt each other if we want to.
ILM: This Is The Last Time is one of my favourite tunes ever. I get a lump in my throat and shivers down my spine and feel exhilarated when I hear a Keane record, be it that one or Bedshaped or Everybody's Changing or Somewhere Only We Know. Please describe the Keane process of making some of the best music of the decade?
RICHARD: Wow, thanks. Tim writes a song, preferably late at night after a drink or two, and records it onto a dictaphone, or if he can't make any noise he'll program it in a program called "Logic" on his powerbook. Sometimes, it'll be bare bones of a melody, sometimes a fully finished song with drum parts and all the words. Tom and I get to listen to a few of these, and we all decide which are the ones we want to work on, or which need a tweak, and we just try to have a go at them when we get a chance.
