Kevin Michael chats to I Like Music
Lupe got on the song before I met him. So I had the song and I was like, 'Damn I've never even met Lupe, that's corny.' So this summer we did Lollapalooza together in Chicago, amongst a million other bands who were on the bill, but we did the official Lollapalooza after-party together and it was my first time meeting him. And I can't say enough good things about Lupe. He is so talented, so intelligent, so cool, yet so today, so young, so fresh. He's the new Q-Tip to me. He's so humble and down to earth. So we exchanged numbers and we keep in touch now. He's great.
