Kevin Michael chats to I Like Music
The message of the song and what I wanted to get across with it was … if I'm being honest I never thought this would be the first single, I was just writing this song so that people would know who I am for at least for one moment on the album. Then the label said this is the perfect song because you are a new artist. People look at me and they don't know right away what I am. They see the fro and hear the voice and they're like, what is this? It's something different. So I kind of wanted to invite people into my world right off the bat.
