ILM: Do you find lyrics come first or after the melody?
KEVIN: Well, they usually come hand in hand. I'm a big concept writer, I like to write about different concepts. So sometimes I'll see a word or a phrase or something in a magazine will inspire me and I'll write that idea down or that word down or that thought down, and then I like to go back and look at the list of the different concepts I have and sometimes I'll choose from that. I never take credit for anything I write and I don't take credit for my voice, these are all God given talents and they definitely come from a higher power, I don't know if that sounds weird or whatever… but what I try to do is, when I'm about to write a song,
