KUBB Chat To ilikemusic.com

Harry's musical story began while working as a waiter in a North London organic café, Rollo, brother/collaborator of Dido, was in for a birthday meal. Harry was deputised from the staff to sing 'Happy Birthday' to the celebrant. Instantly impressed, Rollo invited Harry round to his Highbury studio.

Kubb were duly formed and went on to make an emotionally charged album "Mother" by working with renowned producer Youth (Embrace, The Verve). "Mother" is an honest account of Harry's life, a juxtaposition of dark thoughts and open emotions.

I LIKE MUSIC caught up with the adorable frontman of Kubb, Harry Collier to talk about Kubb's music, how Harry has released his demons, and culture-shocks.

"I like music because… it's the most important thing in the world." Harry Collier, KUBB.

ILM: Your single, Remain was released recently. We really like it, but can you give us your own personal description of it?

Harry: The vibe and what it's about is 'I will remain.' It's about the part of you that doesn't ever get destroyed. Maybe like the immortal soul, but also, in the sense that you may go through hard times and it's the part of you that retains its integrity and stays true to you no matter what.
