Mark King of Level 42 chats to I Like Music

ILM: And you'll be more passionate about it that way.

MARK: Of course, because it's your thing.

ILM: You're also a highly revered live act. Do you have a favourite track to play live?

MARK: Some of the more obtuse album tracks are really good fun to play live because you can really get stuck in, the songs that have been successful singles, you can't step too far off the path because you want to play people the songs they know, because they made them successful, so you keep your end of the bargain there, so what you can do is a song like…the last album we had out in 1994, the Forever Now album, there's a song on there called The Sunbed Song and that's become really popular live, because of the Saxo that Sean does and we've extended the middle section out and it gets pretty frantic and that goes down really well. Whenever we're going out on the road I always get tons of emails saying can you make sure that's in your set.
