ILM: Does your lovely girlfriend Emma inspire your music or just your life in general?
MATT: Musically not really. The last album she gave me a lot with lyrics, because you're not going to write a love song about someone you watch on TV, you're going to write a love song about the person you're in love with, so for the last album she inspired me to write love songs.
ILM: Congratulations on your engagement. Who's going to play at your wedding?
MATT: A Beach Boys cover band. It should be really good. But also, I'm going to leave the equipment up on stage, because there will be so many musicians there. I've got loads of mates of mine who are really good session musicians, plus Son Of Dork and McFly, so I'll just leave everything up there, so if they want to play they can. I really want to do a cover of something or other, so if they want to do that and get up and have a bit of a laugh and a giggle, that'll be great.
