Muse chat to I Like Music

Ten years ago we were at Reading Festival watching Rage Against The Machine headlining and that was just amazing because we were there aged 17 or 18 and in Muse, but it was only just starting, but we knew that we loved what we did and hoped that we'd be able to go further. And I remember standing at that stage and just enjoying the gig so much and going 'f*** this is amazing' and then just hoping that one day we could actually play Reading Festival let alone play on the main stage, and let alone headline it, but it was a small little thought in the back of my mind, that I kind of knew we would. Which is a very strange feeling, but it's true.

And I remember that combination of watching that phenomenal gig it kind of really inspired me and the rest of us to think, 'f***, we can do this as well.'
