Josh Ritter: ilikemusic because... It’s like an envelope that I can carry around with me wherever I go and I can unfold the letter at anytime.Well, what a year it has been for one of dance music's brightest stars. Following-on from the success of Renaissance Vol.1, Nic Fanciulli embarked on a world tour; remixed the likes of Underworld and Tiefschwarz; took up a coveted position on Radio 1's 'Residency' show; continued to blaze an incredible production trail with the likes of 'Luminaire' and 'Lucky Heather' (more on that later) and, to cap it all, continued to wow clubbers with his Space residency in Ibiza.
Not only is he the chief of Saved Records, he is a jolly nice fellow too. I Like Music caught up with Nic to chat about the new mix for Renaissance, traveling, and a very exciting live show ...
ilm: Your new mix album was out on 23rd October on Renaissance. It's a double CD split into Early Doors and Late Night Floors. Can you describe the whole vibe of the 2 CD's in your own words?
Nic: Yeah I could. The first CD is nice early warm up music basically, not easy listening, it's just a little bit experimental with some of the tracks. It's basically what I would play if I was at Clubclass warming up for a DJ, with few extra bonus tracks in there, like Danny Howells' edit of Bent - Always, that's the sort of track I would probably play at the end of the night. But the majority of the stuff is where I would be if I was in warm up mode.
