Interview with Nigel Clark
by Steve Davies

Having enjoyed 3 successful albums and many hit singles in the 90's with Dodgy, former frontman Nigel Clark has spent the past 7 years locked away in his home studio and being with his family.

His debut solo album is due in the shops this summer, and he makes a return to the live scene in May, so ilikemusic.com thought they'd ask the man a few questions......

So Nigel, tell us about the new band and forthcoming album...

Nigel: Well the band are all local lads (Worcestershire) and are mainly a live gigging band as I usually play most of the instruments on the recordings myself, apart from the tricky stuff like fiddly guitar parts. The album is a collection of songs I have written since leaving Dodgy, all recorded at my studio.

You walked out on Dodgy in 1998. Why the delay for a solo effort?

Nigel: The main reasons it took so long have been in no specific order - bringing up two young kids Marley & Elektra, moving house a few times and money.
