  • Leon Jean-MarieLeon Jean-Marie: ilikemusic because... It transcends. It really creates emotion with someone. That feeling it gives you, it goes through boundaries. To create something, it just breaks through all the walls. When you connect with a song, that is it, that is magic isn't it?

Nikola Rachelle chats to I Like Music

Bullet took me ages to write. I was in a very deep personal experience, and finally we came out with Bullet, and I think we've all felt that one as well, a piece of someone left in your heart. Most of my subjects are people. I love people.

ILM: You've been playing some live dates and have some more in November and December. What is your current favourite Nikola Rachelle track to play live?

NIKOLA: Actually I'm really enjoying Bullet. Because it feels like it hits the crowd, you can feel a response to it, and it's got a groove. Often when people hear new songs they kind of stand still so they can listen properly, but Bullet seems to… at the end people are moving, it's just so fun. I also have a song called Man From Venezuala, which is also on the EP. That one, for me, has a lot of vibe and it's so fun to perform as well. Having fun performing, that's what music is about for me.
