Pendulum Chat To I Like Music

Perry: Some of it is quite incredible.

Paul: You've got to keep one step ahead. That's a good tip as well. Keep writing tunes all the time. Never be complacent. There's a lot of bands out there who have a load of hits and then just ride on those hits for as long as they can and then that's it. We're not like that, yes we're bothered by hits...but...er...

ILM: You have to be aware of it though?

Paul: Yeah. The second album was a bit of a nightmare to be honset. Mostly because we were coming out of the drum n bass scene and heading into a more mainstream, live arena. We didn't want to go too commercial, too into the rock thing and yet we didn't want it to be too much of an underground album. Even though now Hold Your Colour isn't underground. The next album is going to be a mixture of the two. The next level up.
