You might argue that you can translate emotions through films and through books but anyone can make music, whether that be humming or singing along to the radio, it’s something that gives enjoyment and positivity to many people.

Pete Tong chats to I Like Music

Just start giving it to everybody around you and, if it's any good, you'd be amazed how quickly it'll get to me. And, even if you send it to me direct, it might not get to the top of the pile straight away. If it is any good, if people are rating it, it'll come back to me pretty quickly.

ILM: Do you have a driving play list? What do you listen to when driving?
Read Pete Tong's driving playlist here

ILM: Finally, I've got to ask, how does it feel being rhyming slang for a word (ie 'it's all gone Pete Tong', 'it's all gone wrong'?

PETE: Yeah, great. I've always been very chuffed about that.

ILM: And what's the biggest example of something going Pete Tong for Pete Tong?

PETE: The most regular thing to 'go Pete Tong' is travel nightmares. The great bonus of what we do is that we get to travel the world and go to exotic places with someone else paying and it's all fantastic. But, quite often, you end up having airport hell. This summer has actually been a bit rocky. I've been stuck in airports for six hours and nearly missed gigs due to plane delays; that's the most common thing [to go 'Pete Tong'.]

And, the most amazing thing is just being in beautiful places; you've just got reflect on that, how lucky you are.

ILM: I guess you've been doing this for some time now, so you can reflect on those things.

PETE: Yeah, I'm getting better at that.page << 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 >>
