simon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.
Jo Whiley: ilikemusic because... It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.

ILM: Backatcha, as you guys are mine and the ilikemusic founder's favourite band. We first saw you on Jools Holland and were blown away - we thought you were better than the Who.
JON: Ah thank you. Well, there's an interesting story about that. I was outside having a cigarette after and Laura, who plays the keyboards in the band, is my fiancée. I was having a fag with these two geezers outside, and this lad says to me, "I've just been in the toilet and I'm having a piss and I looked over and Roger Daltrey's there, and I said, 'they were good them, that Reverend The Makers weren't they?' and apparently Roger Daltrey said to this kid, 'yeah, they were great… I wouldn't mind giving that girl one."
I was like, 'oh my God, Roger Daltrey fancies my girlfriend' and apparently Paul Weller was saying something about her too. So it's like all these canons of British rock music, I can't listen to any of their music anymore because they've been trying to get it on with my missus; it's no good is it?
