Reverend And The Makers chat to I Like Music

ILM: Yeah, it's all about truth isn't it?

JON: Yeah. I mean everybody knows my opinions from the war in Iraq to the Government and I'm not saying I'm right and their wrong, although I do think what I'm saying is right, but what I'm saying is… 'what do you think?' I'm trying to get a debate going. Post 911, new artists who spoke out and said anything, how many were there? Not many at all, they're very minimal in number. So I'm saying, 'let's have a debate,' there's no debate in society I feel.

ILM: I think there should be more musicians who open up that discussion, definitely.

JON: Musicians, by and large, are an intelligent bunch of people. Their awareness of the facts is undoubtable and I think the reason that they don't' speak out is largely due to the fact that they don't want to lose record sales.
