Robyn chats to I Like Music

I wasn't raised in a family that pushed me into anything. My parents let me do what I wanted and it gave me the kind of open mind that you need when you're in an aggressive business like the music industry. I was always mature enough to question things and, because of that, even though I had a lot of success, the obvious thing would have been to continue that and make another record after Show me love. But for me, the obvious thing was to go back to Sweden and figure out who I was going to be as an artist. I think looking back now it wasn't the smartest move for me to do for my career in the short term but in the long term it was and I'm really proud of the fact that I took that time out for me to dwell on my situation, even though I think a lot of people would have continued.
