Romance Chat To I Like Music

Three-piece post punk band from London, formed in November 2008, they have already made waves in the east London music scene. With influences such as Bauhaus, Southern Death Cult and Siouxsie and the Banshees, the band create a fresh reworking of the late seventies goth sound.

I Like Music caught up with Romance to find out more about their music and what it's like being part of joint tour with White Rose Movement and Ulterior.

"I Like Music because… it never ends."ROMANCE

ILM: How would you describe your sound?

Romance: A mix of pop melodies, primitive tribal drums, droning bass lines and angular delay drenched guitar.

ILM: What's the Romance process for making music, how do you all work together?

Romance: We generally just write some kind of riff or chord pattern and then jam it from there, see where it goes really. Sounds like a cliche but it's just a really good way to write, let it grow organically.

ILM: What do you look forward to the most about playing live?
