Sean Lennon chats to I Like Music
ILM: So you can shape it.
SEAN: Yeah.
ILM: You made 35mm film pieces for each individual track, produced by Michele Civetta. And these shorts together make up your Friendly Fire conceptual feature, which you're introducing at the Raindance Film Festival this Saturday. It must have been really enjoyable making your songs come to life on screen?
SEAN: It was really fun - the most fun I've ever had. Because, you know music, it's like you've only got maybe five people hanging out in the studio, and a lot of the time I was alone with Tom, and that was fun but it's kind of an isolated experience, but making films is great. You've got like 100 people around and you're all dressing up and making weird art, it's a fun group activity. [laughs]
ILM: The film features appearances from your good self and some of your friends including Lindsay Lohan, Bijou Phillips, Asia Argento, Carrie Fisher, Devon Aoki, Jordana Brewster. That's quite a dinner party right there!
