Sia chats to I Like Music

SIA: I really enjoy playing with them, I'm not sure if I'll have time to be on the next album, which is gutting, because I've had the best fun ever touring with them. They've been the best tours that I can remember, and the worst. The Garden was the best and When It Falls was the worst. We've all gone through so many growth periods together. For me anyway it's probably the closest thing to family that I've ever really experienced. So it's kind of sad because I've got a feeling that I won't be able to do the next album. But maybe I can come back or something.

ILM: You are part of the soundtrack to my life and are frankly brilliant! Can you describe the Sia process of making such quality lovely music?

SIA: I'm just channeling. All the best stuff the only stuff that ends up getting used is when I plonk myself down on the couch and someone starts strumming some chords and a little vomit of music comes out and I'm not even aware of it, it just goes 'blurp' and it feels like channeling when it's right, when it's the good stuff, that's what it feels like, it feels like the pen just starts writing itself and goes really fast.
