For me the crowd makes a big difference, so when you see a crazy reaction; when you play and the crowd are so into it that they all jump and sing so loud, that always truly makes it special.

We played a show in Milan, musically it wasn't that special, but the setting… it was in the middle of the city right in front of this big cathedral with 120,000 people, it was ridiculous to see this sea of people.

But one of the best shows we've ever played in terms of the feeling and how exciting it was for us was the first home town gig we did at this big arena in Montreal where every big band plays and the hockey team play there; f***ing legends play there and to have our entire family there watching… and we came on stage and it was the first time we'd played to such a big venue, so it was a true homecoming. Getting on stage and after the show it felt very emotional and in a way, without being cocky, triumphant. It just felt like wow we've made in our hometown.
