Sneaky Sound System Chat To I Like Music

Sneaky Sound System are one of Australia's most successful dance acts. Their self titled debut album is now triple-platinum selling, their third single I Love It broke records for the longest charting single on the Australian charts (70 weeks), summer 2009 saw them land a residency at Ibiza super club Pacha and a recent support slot for Tiesto led to a collaboration on his single I Will Be Here.

Comprised of Black Angus (songwriter, producer, guitarist), Connie Mitchell (vocals, songwriter) Donnie Sloan (bass, keys, co-producer) and Shaun Sibbes (drums), it was announced recently that co-founder MC Double D aka Daimon Downey had amicably left the group.

I Like Music caught up with Angus to chat about their summer of 2009, how they make music, musical memories he'll never forget, rising stars, big room techno and the departure of a Sneaky Sound System original.

"I Like Music because… music is my life." ANGUS, SNEAKY SOUNDSYSTEM

ILM: How has your summer of 2009 been?

Angus: We've had an amazing summer! It's been a pretty mixed bag, we've done a few weeks running around America, the crowds were terrific, especially in LA and New York. In the UK we've had a great time at all the festivals, highlights were Isle of Wight, V Festival, Wireless and Oxygen. There hasn't been a dud one, but if I had to pick some those would be the ones! Also we've been out to Ibiza, we had a residency at Pacha. That's been a bit of an eye opener! We loved it!
