Sneaky Sound System Chat To I Like Music

Angus: If you really want to do it, just do it. The only people who survive are the people who really, really want to do it. The hard part is getting there, you've often got to slog it out til the break through. If you really want to do it, nothing will stop you. Simple as that. Some of my close friends think I'm crazy. You get your hour of glory on stage, but all the travelling and other work isn't quite as glamorous. But it's still worth it! Keep on keeping on! You'll know if it's what you want to do because you won't stop.

ILM: What's your response to Daimon leaving the group? What's next for Sneaky Sound System?

Angus: We're very close friends. Daimon has always been more of a vibe guy. We started the club night nine years ago and this has ended up in an entirely different space than any of us planned. Daimon wanted to settle down a bit more in Australia and pursue his art career, he's a fantastic painter. We'd talked about it a little bit, but it did take us a little by surprise. But it was amicable, he'll join us for a couple of farewell shows. Everyone has to move on, he wanted to move on. Connie and I will continue writing and performing, we'll tweak our show and hopefully use it as a moment to take it in another direction. He'll always be in our lives though, he'll always be part of it.page << 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 >>
