Founded by Francis Rossi and Alan Lancaster in 1967, Status Quo went on to become one of the most successful rock groups in history, having charted over 60 UK hits throughout their career so far.
No strangers to the tour bus, The Quo are on the road relentlessly, bringing their shoulder swaggering, riff-tastic rock classics to air guitar loving audiences of all ages.
Their most recent release, Pictures: 40 Years of Hits, marked the 40th anniversary of the release of their first single Pictures Of Matchstick Men. Alongside the release, The Quo and The Princes Trust invited numerous artists, musicians and stars to create their own version of a classic Quo single or album cover. Covers designed from Brian Wilson, Alice Cooper, Chris Tarrant, Rolf Harris and many more, were then auctioned off for charity.
ilikemusic caught up with founding member, lead vocalist and guitarist Francis Rossi to chat about the tour bus, music he listened to then, music he listens to now and why, after 40 years of hits, The Quo still really like it, they like it, they like it, they like it, na na na naaa naaa
