Team Waterpolo were catapulted to the front page of MySpace mere days after posting their first tune just under two years ago. Over 130 shows in 2008 including tours with the likes of The Wombats, Black Kids and Crystal Castles alongside a host of summer 2008 festival appearances saw the four lads from Preston crystallise their electronic pop sound that draws inspiration from sources as diverse as Beastie Boys and Daft Punk.

Team Waterpolo recently returned from finalising tracks for their debut album in the West Of France with Dave McCracken (Ian Brown, Depeche Mode and Beyonce) at Nantes' Black Box Studios. I Like Music caught up with Lex to chat about the album, playing festivals, making music and more!

ILM: How would you describe the vibe of your forthcoming album?

Lex: Happy and airy, while dark and mysterious with some big and spacious phat dirty harmonic high-noon vibes thrown in.
