  • Seaney DevereuxSeaney Devereux: ilikemusic because... there's a song for every emotion and music creates debate and debate is what brings us together, it breaks down the walls that seperate sterotypes and it's always involved in your favourite youth memories.
  • Leon Jean-MarieLeon Jean-Marie: ilikemusic because... It transcends. It really creates emotion with someone. That feeling it gives you, it goes through boundaries. To create something, it just breaks through all the walls. When you connect with a song, that is it, that is magic isn't it?

  • robbierobbie: ilikemusic because... my friends say its cool
  • Peter CincottiPeter Cincotti: ilikemusic because... Of what the world would be without it. It’d be a very scary place. I think we’d all be screwed.
  • Chuck, Simple PlanChuck, Simple Plan: ilikemusic because... It was always a way to escape whatever problems I was going through; whatever trouble I had, I could just put on a record or a song and feel better right away and I hope that our music can have the same effect on our fans.
  • JohnJohn: ilikemusic because... it evokes my emotions like nothing else.
  • william youngwilliam young: ilikemusic because... The Boat That Rocked started the musical revolution for the musical nation.

Team Waterpolo Chat To I Like Music

ILM: You played SO many shows in 2008! How do you cope with all the travelling?

Lex: Yes I think it was 110 shows we did in 2008, and we spent the whole of December in France recording the album, so we would have squeezed more in if it wasn't for a certain album that was begging to be put together! We have a little splitter van that's semi-comfortable, and Travelodge is our first home, but we enjoy what we're doing and we always have a laugh with any situation we find ourselves in.

ILM: What do you enjoy about playing festivals?

Lex: Not the camping particularly, but the whole atmosphere of a festival is something really cool. It's like a massive adventure island with surprises and weird and wonderful characters all over the place. There's nothing else like it anywhere but a festival.
