The Beach Boys David Marks chats to I Like Music

200,000 people in England are estimated to have Hepatitis C. One of The Beach Boys (the most successful US band to date), David Marks, had it but managed to effectively treat it.

I Like Music caught up with Beach Boy, David Marks on World Hepatitis Day to talk about how he has treated and cured the virus, his memorable moments as a Beach Boy and his favourite summer tunes.

"I Like Music because… creating it is one of the highest endeavours of mankind - it connects us with God, the universe and each other."
David Marks, THE BEACH BOYS

ILM: Congratulations the successful treatment of your Hepatitis C virus. How did it feel finding out you had it and then finding out it was gone? And how did you treat the virus?

DAVID: When I was first diagnosed with Hepatitis C, I didn't even know what it was. After looking it up on the Internet it hit me that I could die from this and I better take it seriously. I immediately quit drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes and eating junk food and started a strict regime targeted at increasing my immune system and supporting my healthy liver cells naturally, with food and herbs. I feel very lucky to have successfully cleared the virus and I attribute that success to my strict adherence to traditional western medicine, which I got from a world-class liver research and transplantation center, while also incorporating a holistic approach to healing the body.
