ILM: It's World Hepatitis Day (19th May 2008), so you are encouraging people to assess their own risk of hepatitis C by using the FaCe It online tool: www.nhs.uk/hepc which encourages people to think about whether they could have put themselves at risk of hepatitis C. What message do you want to pass on to people about the virus?
DAVID: Hepatitis C does not just affect one certain group of people…it can affect anyone from any walk of life. If people can remember coming in contact with someone's blood, even once many years ago, then they need to get tested and if positive, treated. Lots of people may have put themselves at risk and don't realise it…
