  • Seaney DevereuxSeaney Devereux: ilikemusic because... there's a song for every emotion and music creates debate and debate is what brings us together, it breaks down the walls that seperate sterotypes and it's always involved in your favourite youth memories.

The Bluetones Chat To ilikemusic

ILM: That's not necessarily a bad thing?

Mark: I think it definitely is a good thing. You should never be too close to the industry...

ILM: When you look back over your career, what moments will you never forget?

Mark: There are quite a lot of memories! Quite a lot of wonderful opportunities and experiences that we've had. Things that stick out are the very first time we went to Japan. I remember flying over the Japanaes coast line and coming through the clouds and seeing Japan for the first time. That was a special moment. It was like "Christ. Here we are, on the other side of the world. Playing music with our little band." It hit home then that it was all really happening and how lucky we were. Also, when we headlined at Glastonbury festival on the NME stage, '97 or '98 I think it was, that was pretty special as well. Looking out on that sea of people and thinking "Bloody hell! They're all looking at us!"
