ILM: What's your favourite 'live' experience as a punter?
TIM: I always remember The Pogues on St Patrick's Day at Brixton Academy. It was so long ago I don't even remember the year. But it was a great connection between the band and audience. It's a great venue, and we're playing there again soon.
MARTIN: The last one I saw that I thought was really good, but which was by accident was… we were at South By South West and I was with Carl and Didz from the Dirty Pretty Things and managed to blag our way in to see the Arctic Monkeys, and it was a very spirited spunky set.
ILM: You've been together for 17 years, having formed in 1989, so must know each other pretty bloody well by now. Can you describe each others best characteristic and worst habit?
TIM: John's a really good fighter. No Tony's a good fighter, but he's had to go through a few health problems and he's showed a true spirit.
MARTIN: Yeah, I totally agree with that. He's shown a real strength of character with what's gone on over the past three years.
