You might argue that you can translate emotions through films and through books but anyone can make music, whether that be humming or singing along to the radio, it’s something that gives enjoyment and positivity to many people.

TIM: He's never moaned about it once; he's just got on with it. If I was sick I'd moan about it all day and all night. His worst characteristic? Some of his shirts are a little loud.
MARTIN: He is incessant, but that's not that bad, he just never stops. John? We just love him because he's the drummer.
ILM: And each other?
MARTIN: We've managed to tolerate each other for the past 16 years, we are two opposite ends of the scale.
ILM: You complement each other's characters then?
TIM: Yeah, well we complement the band, I don't know about each other. We tend to push each other's buttons a little bit.
ILM: Well you need that to keep the creativity going.
MARTIN: Yeah, you do… and Mark…
TIM: Mark's really intelligent and good with his business head, and his worst habit is sometimes he's a bit stubborn.
ILM: The music industry has changed quite a bit since you put out 'Indian Rope', on your own label Dead Dead Good records. That sold 20,000 copies which is enough to get a number one nowadays.
