Scott, Thin Lizzy: ilikemusic because... It lets my adrenalin start pumping, it gets aggression out, and sometimes I can actually get emotional with it. There are many reasons why I like music.
TIM: And the Internet has totally helped a band like ourselves. I mean, because with the Internet you're an international band immediately. And you can just build your fan base up. I love that, rather than having to go over and tour immediately.
ILM: So you can build momentum on a global scale.
TIM: Yep.
ILM: What's your advice to young musicians?
TIM: Do a reggae record after 16 years. [laughs] Although, I don't know if that's good advice or not.
ILM: I'm a Charlatans fan myself because the music is just powerful in all sorts of ways I guess, even the soft lighter songs have a kind of emotive power. Can you describe the Charlatans process of making such awesome music?
TIM: Thank you. There are many different ways. Sometimes you can start with a riff, sometimes you can start with a jam and some things just come as songs that you totally work on on your own.
ILM: And do the lyrics or the music come first?
