Hey there a Big 209 - jitters
DAN: The most enjoyable experience for me I guess, would be the track Head. It was again a very late addition to the album. Tom had an electronic idea for a track and it was very pumping and I threw a melody on top and we were liking where it was going but we realised we weren't getting the most out of it.
So we took everything we've learned with Chris Hughes, who produced the majority of the tracks on the album, and we went into the studio with Dave Macrachan who's worked with Depeche Mode and Ian Brown, and we literally rewrote the song and recorded it, finished it and vocalled it in three days, having spent a year on the entire rest of the album. So that, for us, was great to be able to take what we'd learned and use that and in a short space of time create this whole new track which we were absolutely convinced had to go on the album.
ILM: So, this is your third album, the follow up to the fantastic 'Kick Up the Fire and Let the Flames Break Loose. What did you learn in the studio this time round, about yourselves, your music or something new about the music making process?
