The Cooper Temple Clause chat to I Like Music

DAN: We definitely learned the worth of good old fashioned hard work. At first it was very difficult for us, because, in the past, the vocals and melodies would be the last things we'd put on a track and we'd spend the majority of our time working on the sonic side of things and this time it was a very tricky experience for us doing it the other way round and doing the vocals first. So we'd spend a week working on a track and bang our heads against a wall and we'd get to the middle of the week and think, 'what have we actually done this week? Is it any good?' Completely unable to figure out what we'd done, but we just carried on going and then we'd listen to what we'd done in the week on the Friday evening, and we'd be like, 'actually, yeah, this is great'.
