It makes me laugh and it makes my cry and it gets me out of a stress if I’m in a stress, and, if I’m in a good place then it will make me in a better place. It’s all about the emotion, it’s all about the feeling where music takes you to and what affect it has on you.
  • Iesha GaddIesha Gadd: ilikemusic because... it's sexily cool. And u can rave to decent tuneage.

The Coral chat to I Like Music

ILM: 'Roots & Echoes' will be released on 6th August 2007. It's timeless - the record to remind you what a brilliant and unique band you guys are. Its songs glow with warmth and heart, musicality and melody. Describe the Coral process of making such good songs? Lyrics or melody first?

JAMES: It's at the same time usually; it's just what comes out and you finish it off by working on it. Usually the initial inspiration is what stays and then we all work on the arrangement together; it just sort of comes out and then you get a feeling and you write it and finish off more technically, but the actual initial song is what comes out first.
