I Like Music Because heading
  • Ellen, Los CampesinosEllen, Los Campesinos: ilikemusic because... It’s the best form of escapism that you can have wherever you are. You could be completely miserable or waiting for a bus and put on any song that inspires you and you can escape into a little world, well that’s what I tend to do anyway.

The Coral chat to I Like Music

ILM: You've just played T in the Park, How was that?

JAMES: Good yeah… muddy, but a good gig!

ILM: You play as special guest of those Arctic Monkeys at the end of July and then V Festival in August… what's your fave Coral tracks - one old one new - to play live?

JAMES: To play live? I like She Sings The Mourning and a new one… I like She's Got A Reason, that's a good one.

ILM: You guys are one of the UK's most successful bands with 8 top 40 singles (4 top 10 hits) and four top 5 albums - What does the future hold and how will you handle success this time round?

JAMES: We'll handle it better, we're more prepared. When we came out there weren't many other bands out; now there are loads of bands out and we know what it's like.

The Coral are…

James Skelly - lead vocals, guitars
Ian Skelly - drums, vocals
Bill Ryder-Jones - lead guitar, bass, trumpet
Nick Power - keyboards, vocals
Lee Southall - rhythm guitar, vocals
Paul Duffy - bass guitar, saxophone
John Duffy - percussion

New single - 'Who's Gonna Find Me' - 30th July 2007
New album - 'Roots & Echoes' - 6th August 2007page << 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 >>
