It was all over the TV so it made for quite a strange experience when we were in Virginia and that inspired Dan to write a song that was to do with missing London and when an event like that happens you want to be around your loved ones and are aware that we were thousands of miles away from them at that point of time made that song happen.
ILM: I've been a fan since I heard Sewn. You guys certainly know how to craft top tunes. You won the 2007 Ivor Novello Award for Songwriters Of The Year in May 2007 Please can you describe the Feeling music making process? Lyrics first then melody or vice versa or random?
CIARAN: It happens in different ways. A lot of the times Dan will have written a song in its entirety and it'll have the lyrics and everything and then he'll bring it to us and we'll change the arrangement and parts a little bit. And sometimes songs come out of jams we've been having and Dan will go home and turn the jam into an entire song, and that way he tends to write the lyrics last, but he does the main bulk of the songwriting and we all chip in through various different ways.
