The Music Interview
The track seems to have quite a strong message behind it. As a successful band you have a real platform to communicate with people. Could you describe the message you are putting out there with this track?
Rob: My view of the world in general is....well, I look out and I think that people can be quite wasteful. Especially these days. It is a call for people to wake up and start doing something about it. Everyone has become accustomed to just living their own lives.
ILM: Can you describe the journey you have taken with this album?
Phil: After being away for so long and after touring so much, we got home and tried to start writing this album straight away. The way that we used to do things, getting in a room and jamming, wasn't really working. We tried for about a year and came away with one song I think. So we had to change how we wrote music. Adam and Rob got together and were working on a few things. The song Idle was the first one and the one that got everyone excited. Once we had a few songs me and Stu took them down to the studio and got on with them from there. It is quite a broad question, the journey, because it has been four years, a lot of things happened along the way.
