simon f baker: ilikemusic because... you can transcend the confines of the material world with it, it's probably better than shagging in fact. There is virtually nothing more satisfying than when a load of chords and words suddenly come together into a song ; suddenly everything in life seems to fit and make sense once more.

Taio Cruz: ilikemusic because... It’s my life and it’s the air that I breathe. It calms me when I’m feeling uptight and it’s there for me when I want to party if I want to listen to something up tempo, it’s just amazing in any situation. That’s why I like music!
TIM: Yeah, we're on the road, we've got this street team van that we all travel in; it's a really comfortable vehicle and we've put this rap on it. Durex have done that because we've got this 'strap it up before you slap it up' tour and we're giving away 100,000 condoms; we've got our own branded condoms. I just came back from Bankok where we visited a condom factory to see how they're manufactured, so we had a lot of fun out there, it was a great experience and it's a powerful message.
ILM: You've been in the game a while. You started out on LWR pirate station and now radio 1... and even have your own newspaper column in the Sun. You've sold over 2 million albums to date with the biggest selling urban compilation in history. What advice can you give to young people on pursuing their dream career?
TIM: I feel very strongly that, if you want to do something you've just got to go and do it. That do it yourself ethic is the most powerful thing; that's where the game has changed in the UK with artists like Bizzle and stuff. They wanted to get into the game so they started putting out records. They went into the bedroom studios, did what they did and released records. In the old days, the UK rap artists used to sit at home saying 'I want to get signed' it's all about trying to get signed; it's not about that anymore. If you want to get into this industry, start doing it.
